Medical Dental Vision 401k Job Details Job Details: We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented AP Specialist for a contract-hire. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a passion for managing finances. The Contract AP Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable operations, ensuring that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of accounting principles, good analytical skills, and experience in a similar role. Responsibilities: Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities including receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner. Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, and payment transactions. Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Prepare, review, and analyze accounts payable reports and summaries. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, ethical practices, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations. Assist with month-end closing processes and financial audits. Identify and implement opportunities to optimize systems and processes. Provide support and guidance to junior staff, if any. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting. Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software. Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively. Knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures. Interested in hearing more?
