Department(s): To manage a team of dedicated and passionate organizers to provide HIV testing, prevention, and PrEP services to the community. The position is responsible for development, planning, and management; grassroots program development and sustainability; operations implementation; and personnel and office management for HIV prevention programs. - Office Location: Boyle Heights and Downtown Los Angeles, CA - Hours: Full-Time (40 hours a week) M-F 9 am-6 pm (some nights and weekends will be required) Salary: - Starting $64,840 annually (salaried employee) - Medical, 85% paid by employer (employee only) - Vision, 100% paid by employer (employee only) - Dental, 100% paid by employer (employee only) - Paid vacation (80 Hours first year of employment, after 5 years it increases to 96 hours) - Life insurance and retirement benefits are available. TWLMP utilizes a community-based organizing model to address social justice issues and provide health education and wellness prevention programs such as substance use, mental health, Hepatitis C, and HIV/AIDS. - Mission Statement: The Wall-Las Memorias Project is a community health and wellness organization dedicated to serving Latinx, LGBTQIA2-S, and other underserved populations through advocacy, education, and building the next generation of leadership. Description: The HIV Prevention Manager reports to the Senior Programs Manager. The Manager of HIV Prevention leads TWLMP HIV testing and prevention programming by training, monitoring, and evaluating the performance of each direct report according to the company's policies and procedures. The manager will make recommendations for program and staff changes and improvements. This person will create outreach strategies, create staff schedules, provide staff supervision and manage all funder requirements (i.e., reports, input data into required databases, etc.). This program conducts outreach, individual and group level interventions, and program promotion and development primarily to Gay, Bisexual, transgender, non-binary, and Men Who Have Sex with Men in Los Angeles. The manager represents TWLMP in various community planning meetings, including the Prevention Planning Committee of LA County and the Los Angeles Commission on HIV Health Services, conducts regular quality assurance activities and client satisfaction surveys, and maintains a community advisory board for program input. Finally, this position needs to ensure program documentation is clear and complete. - Objective Goals and Service/Activities (but not limited to): To plan, train, and manage outreach efforts, program curriculums, scheduling staff for HIV prevention, testing, and PrEP activities. Work with program coordinators to review and approve general program marketing material. Cultivate positive relationships with other agencies, LGBT groups, clinics, law enforcement, parents, elected officials, retail outlets (businesses), communities of faith, and other community-based organizations to raise awareness in the community about TWLMP's mission and build collaborative service networks. Responsible for any other assignments provided by the Senior Program Manager Minimum Qualifications: -

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Public Health, human services, public administration, or another related field -
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in HIV prevention programs, testing, or health-related programs or
  • Minimum three years of management experience -
  • Ability to Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of HIV testing and prevention programs.
  • Conduct regular audits of testing processes and documentation.
  • Experience working in a non-profit environment and working with government contacts desired -
  • Experience working with budgets and HIV funding sources preferred
  • Experience drafting and presenting reports to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and public speaking skills
  • Knowledge of LGBTIA2-S issues affecting the community -
  • Knowledgeable of local Los Angeles communities -
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting HIV awareness and prevention.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ communities and underserved populations.
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations and stakeholders -
  • Knowledgeable in developing, providing, and/or evaluating community-based environmental prevention programs/services
  • Develop and maintain partnerships to expand testing reach and impact.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred - Requirements:
    • Must have authorization to work in the United States
