Job Description:
Job description: Develop strategy and actively manage case-load
Independently attend court hearings Independently draft complaints,
discovery, and motions Work on and assist in trial preparations
Communicate with clients and witnesses Experience taking and
defending depositions Draft and argue motions, including motions
for class certification Conduct discovery, including depositions
Work with expert witnesses, particularly in financial and
statistical fields Manage settlement negotiations and participate
in mediations Collaborate with co-counsel and opposing counsel Take
cases to trial and arbitration, if necessary Experience you will
need: JD degree from an accredited law school Active California bar
membership in good standing Minimum of 2 years of substantive
employment litigation experience Experience taking and defending
depositions and managing discovery Law and motion knowledge,
including experience arguing motions Working knowledge of
California Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Court Strong
analytical research and writing skills Excellent verbal and written
communication skills Experienced with developing and sustaining
client relationships Ability to work independently while
collaborating within a team-oriented environment Commitment to
representing employees and protecting their rights
