Job Description:
A company is looking for a SVP, Credit Risk/Chief
Underwriter.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and communicate the organization's Credit Policy and changes
to agency and investor guidelines
Collaborate with departments to design and implement policies,
procedures, and guidelines related to mortgage products
Oversee workflows and ensure efficient underwriting processes while
promoting best practices
Required Qualifications and Education
College degree in a related field or equivalent combination of
training and experience
15+ years of experience in mortgage banking, with 10+ years in a
Credit Risk/Policy Analysis role
5+ years of supervisory or management experience
Extensive knowledge of credit risk management principles and agency
underwriting guidelines
Proficiency in computer systems, including loan origination and
automated underwriting systems, as well as MS Office
